As you navigate our website, you will learn about the vital services that Children's Home Society of Virginia (CHSVA) is proud to have provided in the Commonwealth for more than 107 years.  We are dedicated to finding a permanent family for every child and have been successful at placing more than 12,500 children into safe, loving homes. 

CHSVA is committed to its mission of finding permanent homes for all children and providing related counseling to birth and adoptive families.   We accomplish this by providing pregnancy and birth parent counseling, temporary foster care and a full spectrum of adoption services.

We look with great expectation to the future because exciting developments are taking place at CHSVA.  Members of CHSVA’s board leadership are engaged with the agency staff in a strategic process designed to assure the continued growth and success of the agency.  We have created an action plan to effectively deploy new strategies that will produce impressive service results.   This plan includes actively exploring new opportunities to collaborate with other non-profit organizations and foundations in order to expand our services.
