Joe and Sue
Hi, we are Joe and Sue. We are so very appreciative and thankful for your decision to consider adoption. We can only imagine how difficult this path is, and pray that you will feel comfort in knowing that you made the right choice. Without you, we will never be able to know the joy of parenthood, and so we hope that reading about us will give you a sense of peace and calm knowing that your sacrifice will be forever deeply treasured.
We have been happily married for 13 years and love to spend as much time together as possible. We are each others best friend, and we pride ourselves on the fact that our marriage is strong and solid. We make a conscience effort everyday to support and encourage each other, to listen and share, and to say “I love you.” Knowing that we are there for one another no matter what the day brings is a great feeling.
The past four years have taken us on an emotional journey. It started when we found out we were pregnant, then just 4 days later our dreams were shattered when we were told it was an ectopic pregnancy and Sue had to undergo emergency surgery. Since that point we’ve been through numerous medical tests which then led to going through IVF. As painful as this experience has been we are proud to say that it has only strengthened our relationship and drawn us even closer together. We have always wanted children, so knowing that you are willing to make our dream come true is something so special and amazing, words don’t seem to do this courageous deed justice.
We both love sports which started for both of us in school, and we still have that competitive spirit. We have been blessed to be able to travel and do so whenever the opportunity arises. As a consequence of our travels we have been able enjoy the rich history and beauty the world has to offer. We’re always open to new ideas and experiences and now love to hike after an amazing trip to Austria. On our travels a camera is always by our side. We both have a passion for photography and whether traveling or spending time with family are constantly looking to capture all the fun moments, which can then forever be enjoyed. We also both grew up with musical backgrounds and the result is our appreciation for music which is shown with our eclectic taste.
Currently we both work in an office environment. Joe as an Operations Manager, and Sue as an Executive Assistant. We live in a three level townhome in a family orientated neighborhood, and close to a beautiful lake where you can play, relax and enjoy the view.
Both our families are excited about meeting the new addition to their family, and for Sue’s parents it will be their first grandchild. Sue’s originally from England and so time with Sue’s parents is precious and if they can’t make the trip over to the U.S.A. then we make the trip to England. Joe’s family all live locally and we always make the effort to get together whenever we can, especially for special occasions. Any time we spend with family or friends is never taken for granted. It’s always fun, whether we’re playing games or just chatting over a cup of tea.
We can’t wait to share our lives with a child of our own. We want to share all of life’s great adventures, show them that anything you put your mind to is possible, and that life’s a wonderful journey. We want our child to appreciate family, to have respect for others and to most importantly know that they are loved and will always have a place to call home.
