Thank you for considering a gift to Children's Home Society of Virginia, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Because of your generosity, we are able to continue our mission of finding permanent homes for all children and providing related services to birth families, adoptive families and adoptees.

At CHS, we welcome gifts of all types, including checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. We will work with you and your financial advisors to maximize the tax benefits for you and the value of your gift. Gifts can be deducted from your adjusted gross income on your tax return.

Gifts of Stocks or Bonds
A gift of long-term appreciated securities has two major advantages. It provides the donor with an immediate income tax deduction and eliminates a capital gains tax to the extent allowed by tax law. Typically donors have stock transferred from their brokerage account to the account CHS holds with Charles Schwab.  Electronic transfer is the safest and fastest way to give stock to CHS. Support Us By Shopping
An additional way you can choose to support CHS is through Benevolink’s ‘On-line Market Place’. Benevolink has linked up with many online retailers, such as the GAP, Barnes and Noble, and many more! When you shop at these stores, a certain percentage of your purchase is donated to your non-profit organization. To shop through their On-line Market Place, or to get more information, you can go to www.benevolink.com.
