Ways to Support the Children’s Home Society of Virginia

Gifts of cash including checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express can be deducted from your adjusted gross income on your tax return.

Electronic transfer is the safest and fastest way to give stock to CHSVA. It requires two easy steps:

Step 2: Call Rochelle Orr-Lee at CHSVA at (800) 247-2888 and give her the name of the stock, the number of shares you intend to transfer, the approximate value of the stock, and the designation.

Ukrop’s has expanded its Golden Reward program, and the new program can benefit the Children’s Home Society of Virginia! Ukrop’s has joined with Benevolink, an online-based organization that supports non-profit organizations. There are two different ways that you can enhance your current gift to CHSVA using the Ukrop’s and Benevolink partnership.
One way to support CHSVA is to take advantage of the Ukrop’s Golden Rewards Program. When you shop at Ukrop’s, any time you buy Ukrop’s brand items, Top Care, Top Crest, Food Club, World Classics, and Paws brand items, a set percentage of the sales of those items will be donated to CHSVA. All you have to do is call 1-800-556-GIVE (4483) or go to to register your Ukrop’s card. When they ask you which non-profit organization you would like to support, tell them “Children’s Home Society of Virginia.”
An additional way you can choose to support CHSVA is through Benevolink’s ‘On-line Market Place’. Benevolink has linked up with many online retailers, such as the GAP, Barnes and Noble, and many more! When you shop at these stores, a certain percentage of your purchase is donated to your non-profit organization. To shop through their On-line Market Place, or to get more information, you can go to www.benevolink.com.
