Dear Birth Mom,

We hope this letter will help you secure a wonderful future for your baby!

Although we grew up in the same town, my husband and I didn’t meet until 2005 and we got married in 2006.  Ever since then, we've talked about building our life together and we had both always planned to have children.  Both our parents live nearby, as do our siblings and many close friends.  We all enjoy getting together and make it a point to see each other on a regular basis – not just on holidays or special occasions.  We really do feel that we have an extended family with our friends, even to the point that my Mother has invited our friends to Thanksgiving even when we were out of town!

I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule – something we felt would help us in raising our own family one day.  Dave likes his work and has a very good job.  He has been with the same company for nearly ten years and keeps up with different training and certifications that can help his career.  When we can, we like to travel and have been on a few big trips like Greece, Italy and England so far together.  A little closer to home we've also made a point to visit friends in Memphis, gone with friends to Baltimore and California, and we also have an annual Outer Banks trip each summer. We like dining out, especially somewhere a little off the beaten path, but often have family and friends over for dinner.  We also enjoy quiet times at home when we can watch movies, go for walks, relax, or just do ordinary things together.

Dave enjoys outdoor fun like football, fishing and scuba diving, and always loves a good project around the house.  He is also very good about exercising several times a week!  I especially love to cook, but also enjoy certain arts and crafts (like making my own greeting cards), music and going to plays.  We both love to read.  During the summer, we especially like to relax on our deck and watch hummingbirds visit our backyard feeder, or just take the dogs for nice long walk at the park.  

Perhaps the most important things we can share with you is our dream to welcome a child into our lives.  We look forward to providing a child with the love, safety, stability and all the opportunities any loving parent would want to give.  And even if your child is not placed with our family, we wish the very best for him/her and for you.
