Older Children Need Homes too! Adopt a waiting Child at CHSVA

Adoption of a Child from Foster Care

Click Here to meet a few of our waiting children! And meet more at Adopt Us Kids.org and The Heart Galleries

There are nearly 1,600 children in Virginia, newborn to age eighteen, waiting to be adopted into permanent, loving homes. These children are in foster care, in the custody of department of social services – many of them have experienced neglect and/or abuse and will have risky futures without a permanent family. There are no fees when adopting children from foster care through Children’s Home Society of Virginia because we believe that good kids need good homes.

We encourage you to attend one of our Orientation sessions that are held monthly at our Richmond office or call and speak with one of our social workers who can explain the process in greater detail
